Our Aims

Choosing the right Nursery for your child is an important decision.

Little Acorns Nurseries have over fifteen years of experience, specialising in the care of children aged between 3 months and 5 years. Our aim is to provide both an educationally stimulating and nurturing environment where children are valued and cared for as individuals, whilst being supported and encouraged to develop their potential. Parents are encouraged to participate as much or as little as they please in the daily activities of the nursery, and are kept informed of the children’s learning and given opportunities to become involved through an email system detailing the educational planning, where they can respond and contribute at their convenience. Open days and parents evening are regularly held and diaries are kept with details of the younger children’s routines and development.

At Little Acorns Nursery we aim to work in partnership with parents to ensure the needs of both your child and yourselves are met.

If something affects you or your child we encourage you to share that with us, in turn we shall aim to keep you fully informed about your child both developmentally and emotionally. Ultimately we want both you and your child to enjoy their time at Little Acorns.

Our aim is to provide an educationally stimulating environment where Children are valued as individuals and encouraged to develop their potential. In the early years children learn faster and develop more rapidly than at any time of their lives: early learning is the basis for successful future developments. Little Acorns recognizes that learning is an ongoing process for both children and adults, and encourages and facilitates all staff to attend regular ongoing training, updating their knowledge and mixing with other childcare professionals, which in turn encourages fresh ideas and enthusiasm.

Being Safe and protected

A Safe, and secure environment is obviously of great importance to any parent leaving their child in a Nursery setting. This is why our Nurseries have a secure access systems and CCTV. Both of our Nurseries have a secure access door, which means that no parent or visitor can access the Nursery without being greeted by a member of staff.

Our Admissions policy is very meticulous and at the time of booking your child’s place you will be asked to complete an Authorized Persons to collect your child` form and only these people will be allowed to collect your child. Your child will be signed in and signed out when they are collected. Any visitor or contractor must produce ID before gaining access to the nursery and they are required to sign in and out of our visitor’s book

Health and safety also plays an important part in Nursery life. We ensure that our nursery provides a safe environment for all our children, parents and employees. Adult to child ratios are governed by Ofsted and are strictly adhered to.
