At Little Acorns Day Nursery, we provide a selection of services for children up to the age of five, with our primary motivation to guarantee the development of every child that passes through our doors. We do this through a tailored program that makes sure each child’s needs are catered to with an individual development plan.
At our two sites, in Hedge End and Eastleigh, we believe early bonding is key to growing up, going outside of usual hours by offering a Saturday Morning and a Holiday Club, to make sure your child has all their needs fulfilled.
The social part of a child’s brain starts to develop at 6 months.
No age is too young at Little Acorns, so we offer services starting at newborns. Each child is assigned a key person in charge of their individual needs, who will work with your child to make sure they are looked after emotionally, socially and nutritionally. From a young age, your child will love our soft play areas which are designed with their needs in mind.
We also strictly follow any routines you have established for your baby, allowing a streamlined experience between home and nursery. As they become toddlers, we will encourage your child to make their own decisions on where they want to play, allowing them to become independent while still solidifying bonds with their fellow toddlers.
Learning about the world
In our preschool for ages 3-5, we focus on independence and beginning to learn key skills such as doing up buttons, tying shoelaces and looking out for their friends. There is more of a focus on independence but an increase in structure, with access to free flow inside and out play areas and supervised computer use. This development will help train your child for the next step but still keep them entertained and enriched while with us. While they’re with us, your child will experience our Ofsted-certified services that ensure the physical and emotional security of all the children there.
Research suggests that 40% of British Children are not securely bonded by the age of 5.
Our Saturday morning club is specifically tailored to offer an opportunity to secure early bonding with your child. At Little Acorns, we think bonding with your child at an early age really makes the difference in setting them up to grow as emotionally capable adults. Our Saturday morning club allows this opportunity while offering a supportive environment for parent-child bonding. Babies that miss out on these experiences are more likely to be depressive and anxious, so we recommend this experience to give them the attention they deserve and get a few hours in the nursery with the parents they love so much.
Come and join us at our Saturday Morning Club, which offers a perfect chance to see how our nursery works and is available for free as part of your membership or to non-members at a small fee. So contact us today to find out more about how our services can help set up your child’s future.
