As a parent, you’ll know all too well how daunting it can be leaving your child in the care of someone else, especially having built up such a connection at home. Nursery care is in many instances the first time you will likely be entrusting someone outside of your family and friends with the welfare and happiness of your baby, and as such, you’ll likely have many questions. Within this helpful blog post, let the childcare specialists at Little Acorns Day Nursery take you through some of the most prominent questions, answering them as best we can
Will My Child Struggle Being Away From Me?
Understandably, you will have built up a connection with your child throughout their time in your care, and though children will miss your presence, during these formative years it can be an important experience to spend some time away from Mum, Dad and other parental figures. In some instances, your child may be suffering from Separation Anxiety Disorder, and we can put various steps in place to accommodate this. We can also help your child to settle in initially by conducting initial settling in sessions with you alongside.
What Will My Child Do On A Daily Basis?
The activities your child is able to enjoy on a daily basis will vary from nursery to nursery, though at Little Acorns Day Nursery, we have a set regime in place to ensure your little one is mentally stimulated and always having fun. With a custom-designed interactive play room, at each of our sites we ensure that each baby is assigned a key person in charge of providing individualised care, so play can vary day-to-day!
Can A Nursery Stick To My Existing Routines?
Whether your existing routine involves a particular pattern of sleep and play, or your child has additional needs that must be catered for, Little Acorns Day Nursery would be more than happy to integrate these considerations into our care. Parents are always welcome to visit and play, so you can take us through your routine firsthand and let us know of any special requirements at this stage.
Are Nurseries Happy To Accommodate My Baby?
Though not all nurseries are happy to accommodate very young children and babies, we endeavour to care for your child regardless of age. With a dedicated baby room and members of staff who specialise in the care of babies, we’re equipped to provide the very best daytime care for your newborn, toddler or young child, across one of two fantastic local sites. We recognise that continuity of care is important for little ones, with routines maintained.
